Balancing couplings
Encoder application
Here you will find backlash-free compensating couplings for rotary encoders, encoders, tachos and transducers. The couplings have very low restoring forces and therefore protect the sensitive precision bearings of the encoders.
Servo application
Servomotors are characterized by high dynamics and precision. For these controlled drives, you will find backlash-free compensating couplings with high precision and positioning accuracy, high torsional rigidity and minimized mass moment of inertia.
Vacuum application
Coating processes of various carrier materials often take place under vacuum conditions. Couplings for these applications have no outgassing materials and are made of special materials or stainless steel.
Micro application
The miniaturization of drives is a key issue in medical technology, precision mechanics and optics. For these microdrives, you will find couplings with the smallest dimensions (outer diameter
High temperature application
High ambient temperatures of over 140°C can be found, for example, in process engineering or in metallurgical plants. Here you will find couplings with a corresponding temperature resistance of up to 300°C.
Heavy duty application
High torque ranges can be found in forming systems, in mixers and agitators and much more. This category includes couplings with a torque transmission of 1kNm and more.
Torsionally stiff
The torsional stiffness of a coupling - also known as torsional stiffness or torsional spring stiffness - is an indicator of the precision and accuracy of torque transmission.Compared to torsionally flexible, vibration-damping couplings, torsionally stiff couplings respond to torsional stress with less deformation.
Play-free
Backlash-free clutches play a decisive role in high-precision motion sequences and positioning. They also operate backlash-free in reversing mode. The couplings either have no moving parts or have backlash-free preloaded functional elements. Clamping hubs or clamping hubs are preferably selected for shaft connection.
High speeds
Due to increased productivity requirements and output efficiency, machines are increasingly operating in the high speed range. Here you will find matched clutches for speeds > 6,000 rpm, in some cases up to 42,000 rpm.
Vibration-damping
Vibration-damping couplings work with functional elements made of polyurethane, which are able to compensate for vibrations and shocks thanks to their elastic properties. The damping behavior can have a positive effect on the service life of the connected units in systems with frequent shock, alternating or vibration loads.
Electrically insulating
A special requirement for the couplings to be used may be that they have to fulfill an electrical insulation function, for example for electrical isolation. Here you will find couplings that fulfill this insulation function.
Axially pluggable
Axial plug-in couplings are predestined for easy assembly and disassembly in installation spaces that are difficult to access or when the coupling forms the interface for frequent unlocking of machine parts.
Compact dimensions
Clutches with a maximum short overall length are required when the drive concept is so compact that components such as compensating clutches have to be integrated in extremely limited installation spaces.
High angular displacement
Angular misalignments are usually caused by assembly-related misalignment of the two shafts in relation to each other or by deliberate angular misalignment of the shafts. Here you will find couplings with an angular misalignment capacity of >2°, in some cases up to 12°.
High radial displacement
Radial misalignments are parallel misalignments between the two shafts. These are usually caused by assembly inaccuracies, different tolerances of the components to be connected or functional misalignments due to deliberate adjustment movements. In this category you will find couplings with a high radial misalignment capacity, which can be up to several mm depending on the operating conditions.
Corrosion resistant
Here you will find couplings made entirely of stainless steel. The couplings can be used in corrosive environments, under vacuum conditions or for high-temperature applications.
Puncture-proof
The puncture resistance of a clutch can be relevant in various applications - e.g. lifting equipment and stage technology. Even in the event of breakage or wear of the functional part, transmission of the rotary movement is ensured.
Low mass moment of inertia
The mass moment of inertia reflects the resistance of a body to a change in its rotational movement. For highly dynamic and frequently reversing drive concepts, a low or low mass moment of inertia of the compensating coupling is of great importance. Balancer clutches with a low moment of inertia are usually made of lightweight aluminum or engineering plastics.
